  4. Provided further that the candidates belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
  5. Provided further that candidate, who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE approved institutions or B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. A candidate for admission to the Ph.D programme must have obtained any one of the following academic qualifications in the discipline of research or a subject allied thereto (the alliance will be decided by the Academic Council on the recommendation of the respective Board of Studies) at the Master's degree level (M.Tech/M.E., MBA, MCA, M.A., M.Sc., etc. other than M.Phil) from any recognized University.
  1. At least 60% marks with First class or equivalent CGPA at the Master's Degree level;
  2. At least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA at the Master's Degree level followed by the degree of M.Phil with course work.
  3. At least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA at the Master's Degree level with at least three years teaching experience in the subject concerned in a recognized College/University/Institute; or at least three year's experience on supervisory executive positions in Industry/business house.
  4. At least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA at the Master's Degree level and the candidate has also qualified the UGC/CSIR- NET, GATE, etc.
  5. At least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA at the Master's Degree level if the candidate has been selected as Junior/Senior Research Fellow in a research project sanctioned by UGC, CSIR, ICSSR or any other govt. body to the University or its Institutes.
  6. In case of NRI /Foreign Nationals, at 55% marks in the qualifying examinations of the Master’s degree in the relevant discipline. The Candidates who have completed their Master’s degree from a university outside India will have to produce a certificate of their degree’s equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU, New Delhi, India).
  7. M.Tech/ME will be relevant in the Engineering disciplines of CSE, ME, and M.Sc. will be relevant in the Non- Engineerning discipline of Chemistry.
Admission will be made on the basis of the Entrance Test followed by interview, subject to exemption from appearing in the entrance test as provided under relevant provisions in the Ordinance for Ph.D. programmes. In the case of those exempted from appearing in entrance test, admission will be made on academic merit. Foreign candidates are not required to appear in the Entrance Test.
A separate Prospectus is issued for admission to the Doctoral Programme.

Note :
25% of the seats in all of the above courses are reserved for the candidates from the State of Haryana out of which 10% of the seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes of the State of Haryana.
