Heritage Club, Department of Management Studies was instrumental in taking an industrial visit of students of BBA/MBA/B.Com to the Asia’s largest manufacturer of sugar, Saraswati Sugar Mills on 12/10/2017. The concern boasts a capacity of processing of 11000 tonnes of sugarcane on daily basis as the main product with molasses, 18000 MW of internally consumed electricity, Vegas as by-products drawn from raw materials obtained from a radius of 60 KMs. Apart from the kinematics, the visit was an awesome learning experience for everybody as it was addressed by none other than the Assistant General Manager of the organization, Mr. Rajeev Mishra, who is a veteran of the field with a work history of 30 years in the industry. In his flamboyant style of speaking, he taught the whole process of the sugar processing in a stress-free style creating on and off examples with interactions as well with the audience. After the address session and eatables, the students were divided into two teams and made to visit the factory area where they witnessed the work going on for equipment maintenance. Students already thrilled with the board room treatment carrying corporate etiquette, were overwhelmed with excitement and exhibited their exuberance by talking pics of every nook and corner.
