A Guest lecture on “Fire fighting norms in building” was conducted by practicing architect Surinder Bahga from Chandigarh at MM School of Architecture on 17th Nov 2017. The lecture was attended by students of 3rd and 4th year. Ar Bahga emphasized on various design considerations for efficient and safe design of building as per fire safety norms. He illustrated the implementation of National Building code (N.B.C) norms and building bye laws for fire safety. He also informed about prevailing new sophisticated technologies for fire prevention, detection and fire fighting. Students gained the technical know – how about fire fighting and learnt basic details of practical implication. In all, the lecture was informative for all.
