Janmashtami and Teachers day celebration

To mark the birth of lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu and to mark the birth of a great teacher and a philosopher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a joint event of Janmashtami and Teachers day respectively, was organized by the students of MM School of Architecture on 5th September, 2018.The auspicious occasion of teachers day was celebrated as a tribute to the valuable contribution made by the teachers, as for the students, this is the one day to pay reverence and gratitude to their teachers for their selfless efforts in enlightening and shaping the life of students.

The grand program started with a ramp walk by all the teachers, followed by this, the teachers were felicitated by the heart warming titles. The event progressed up further with a wide range of colourful cultural programs, mimicry and other activities which made the event special and memorable. All the students showed up their sincere efforts in making the event a super successful one.

Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Principal, in her motivational speech talked about how the teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and brilliant human beings and also, being Indians, how important our culture is to us, which shall never be let gone under any circumstance. She congratulated all the teachers for inspiring and nurturing the students to march in the right direction. The teachers day celebration was then followed by the cake cutting ceremony.

The grand event was then followed by the traditional ‘matki phod’ ceremony inspired by the naughty gimmicks of Lord Krishna. Ar. Ravi Mahajan broke the pot by making human pyramid in a way showering the divine blessings of the Lord. The event ended with great joy and enthusiasm where everyone was awed and happy about the unique experience.
