Students of MM School of architecture organized ‘Swagatam- 2K18’ to welcome the fresh new faces of MMSOA on 31 st October, 2018. The day was fiesta devoted to cherish the start of a new journey as life itself is a long journey with many zigzags paths in it. The event kicked off by customary lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest, Ms. Neha Kashyap, Principal, MM International School, Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Principal MM School of Architecture, Ar. Mekhala Saha and Ar. Shaluza Mittal as a tribute to maa Saraswati, the embodiment of knowledge, followed by Ganesh Vandana.

The theme of the event was ‘Traditional’ and the auspicious day began with a very warm welcome of the fresh students by 2 nd year students with ‘tilak ceremony’ and was then followed by ramp walk by all the 1 st year students. The event progressed up further with a wide range of colourful performances presented by the gems of MMSOA which made the event special and memorable. The performances included incredible dance performances, singing and fun games which were well applauded.

The event progressed up further with a questionnaire round followed by the ‘talent round’ in which the new gems exhibited their talent. Then, came the very final phase of the event for which all were eagerly waiting from the very beginning. The new comers were then felicitated by awards in various categories. Shruti and Tarun were adjudged as Ms Fresher and Mr Fresher respectively, whereas Jashan and Manik Gaba bagged the most talented and best personality awards.

Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Principal, congratulated all the award winning personalities of MMSOA’s Swagatam ceremony and encouraged the students to keep up the good work. The event concluded with dance on DJ by all the students of MMSOA. It was a day full of warmth, happiness and laughs where all the students showed up their sincere efforts in making the event a super successful one.
