SRIJAN-2018

The two days annual fest, ‘Srijan-2018’ was organized at MM School of Architecture on 2 nd and 3 rd November, 2018 to depict the MMSOA’s enthusiasm to life and its colours in addition to its great goals. The annual fest kicked off by the customary lamp lighting ceremony by the honourable Chief Guest, Dr. Harish Sharma, Vice Chancellor, MM University, Sadopur, Dr. Raman Gupta, Registrar, Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Principal MMSOA, and other eminent faculty members of the institute, as a tribute to mother Saraswati, the embodiment of knowledge, followed by Ganesh Vandana. Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Principal, declared the two days fest open.

The students of all the four houses Chola, Maurya, Mughal and Rajput participated with full spirit in all the events to enhance their creativity and talent in various fields and one could see the wave of enthusiasm amongst all the gems of MMSOA. Various events such as debate, distortion, boulder wash, spellbee, etc. were conducted on the first day of the annual fest which was held at different venues in the campus premises simultaneously. The event progressed up with a wide range of colourful performances presented by the young gems of MMSOA which made the evening more special and memorable. The performances included nukkad natak, solo dance, solo singing, which were well applauded by the judge of the day, Ar. Swarn Pahwa, Ex HOD, Ar. Dept., Govt. The day ended with the prize distribution ceremony, where best performers of various competitions held during the day were felicitated. The fever of the competition within the students gripped all the four houses together the end of the day.

The second day of the annual fest kicked off with another set of various exciting events which included Dawat-e-MMSOA, a mouth-watering event in which the students had prepared a breakfast platter, along with other intriguing events, i.e., doodle, khojo to jane, noorani chehra, structure design, spoon race, slow cycle race, comic writing, etc. The events held during the fest were of high pitch of energy, joy and enthusiasm. The event progressed up further with another wide range of cultural programmes including scintillating group dance performances, pulsating music and an eye catching fashion show, which rocked the ambience. Ar. Eva Prasher, the judge of the day, judged and applauded the sincere efforts of the students in the ongoing events along with another exciting segment of the events which included photography, topiary, column painting, etc.

The two days fest concluded with the felicitation ceremony in which the best performers during the two day annual fest along with the overall performers in the academics throughout the year were felicitated by Prof. Aradhana Jindal and Ar. Eva Prasher. Principal, MMSOA, Prof. Aradhana Jindal congratulated all the students for their sincere efforts in bringing name and fame for the institute through various means and also for the laudable efforts put in by the students as well as the faculty members in organizing the two day mega events. With this, she declared ‘Chola House’ as the overall winner of the ‘Srijan-2018’. Afterwards, Diwali, the festival of ‘victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance’ was celebrated amidst all the bliss and joy, with great ecstasy by lighting up fire crackers.
